There's absolutely no way to know what a person will present as ahead of time, but Mike's never been more certain about something in his life. Will Byers is going to be an Omega--a male Omega--and the second that happens, he'll lose everything. Some knothead Alpha like Troy or James will claim him as their own and no one will be able to stop them. Luckily, the Party has a plan. It might be complicated and unconventional. Summary
It starts as a slight shift—a brush of their hands as Mike hands him a plate at breakfast, a teasing grin that lasts a little too long, breaths matching up as Will calms down from another nightmare. It’s almost imperceptible, almost the same as how they used to be around each other. But Will has been in love with Mike since the moment they became friends, and so he can tell, instantly, that something is different. Something slight had changed.
And that was fine. Will could handle the extra touches or lingering glances. God knows he’d welcomed it.
Except now the shift isn’t so slight anymore. Frankly, it’s gotten a bit out of hand, and now they’re something else entirely. It’s beyond confusing, this weird arrangement they’ve got, and now Will doesn’t have a clue in hell what to do.

Will looks up with surprise. “Why?” he asks.
Nancy just gives a tight smile, but in her eyes, something deeper brews. “You keep my secret, and I’ll keep yours,” she responds.
Will doesn’t really understand much about Nancy Wheeler at all. But Will’s happy to be her secret keeper, so he nods.

“Meow,” and there’s no way she heard that right, eyes snapping away from where she’d been distractedly watching the TV screen and over to her brother’s friend. She checks again, and yeah, Will is holding a stuffed bear, not a cat. The beloved Tiggy stays firmly attached to his bag, so they aren’t playing with tigers, either.
“So they go back down the mountain, and now all the village people are asking them about the crystal, and Rory is sad thinking they didn’t get it that whole time, but then–”
“Meow. Meow,” Will declares, removing the teddy from the dinosaur’s back and making it do some sort of interpretive dance.
