A heat coils inside of his chest, something he'd now dare to name as hope. "How obvious?"
She takes a peek through the window, a smile on her face. "Let's just say the, uh, snowball became an avalanche."

Mike was right, earlier today. Will really is a Sorcerer.
And Mike - Mike can’t take his eyes off of Will.
It’s a sensation he’s entirely too familiar with, and he knows that he should probably still try to get away from that demo, at least take a step back, but he feels frozen to the spot, unable to do anything but stare at Will in breathless, dizzying awe.
Because Will has powers. The thought feels like a revelation and an old, familiar truth all at once. Because it's Will, and Mike has always believed in him.

The first thing Mike noticed when he woke up was the splitting headache he had.
It was one that ran bone deep, penetrating his skull in deep waves of hurt. He winced sitting up, his cranium feeling like jello as Mike laid a hand on his forehead. He noted that the skin was pretty hot but didn't think anything of it. Maybe it was just a side effect of his nightmares.

Going back to Hawkins seemed like a nightmare to Will Byers. Especially when he understood it also meant seeing Mike Wheeler everyday. Mike Wheeler, who he thought was left to rot in his past, a vague memory of an old friendship from middle school. A friendship neither of them could keep alive as phone calls eventually faded and letters stopped coming in. It's been five years and Will Byers now sees Mike Wheeler as nothing but a stranger.
Too bad Mike Wheeler cannot keep his eyes off Will, no matter how hard he tries not to. He simply doesn't understand what went so wrong, his so-called best friend won't even look at him anymore. And why the hell hasn't Will told him he was moving back from California.
It just seems like they view their friendships on totally opposite sides of the spectrum.
