Raglan looks up at him, befuddled, eyes unfocused and blinking rapidly.
“Wha… what are you… huh?” he slurs.
He takes Daniel’s hand and allows himself to be pulled to his feet. Daniel can hear his heart rate pick up though. He’s drunk, but he’s still got enough wits about him to be scared shitless.
“Whatever,” Daniel says with a shrug, letting his fangs drop halfway for effect. “Five second rule.”
Raglan furrows his brow and tilts his head back, like he’s trying to look at Daniel through the bottom half of his bifocals. “Wha—”
Daniel watches in horny delight as Armand slinks up behind Raglan.
“My boyfriend says hi, by the way."

"Do you..." Daniel trailed off as if he was trying to carefully choose his next words. "Do you really see him as that? Your father?"
Armand wished he could take back what he said, to make it like those words never left his mouth in the first place, like it never happened at all. But now it was to late and Daniel wouldn't rest until he had an answer.
"Perhaps father is not the right word. He was my maker. My lover. My saviour. My master. He was a god to me, my everything. And he worshiped me in every roll he took on. Amadeo means beloved by god, a sacred name picked out with care. He was my god and I was his beloved Amadeo. So perhaps he did not love me as a son but he loved me as his child, nonetheless. I was a child of god, graced by his merciful adoration."
Armand's face was frozen in a sad smile even as Daniel's eyes seemed to pierce through him.
"Okay." Daniel said slowly, like he always did when he was trying really hard to hold back. "Alright, sure. Not your father but your god. Yeah, that's much better."

Fuck, this isn’t good. Daniel’s fangs are fucking OUT. He’s clenching his jaw so hard to keep from biting, that it’s a wonder his bones don’t shatter. He’s two seconds away from eating this guy. That’ll look great won’t it. Daniel losing his cool and murdering an agent, right in the middle of their Christmas party. They’ll have him tranqued and in iron headgear in no time. He’ll probably get sentenced to one of those vampire breeding facilities he’s heard rumors about. Forced to make hundreds more vamps. He can’t do that! He’s only a baby himself!
And then the weirdest thing happens. Well, not the weirdest thing. Let’s face it. He’s seen a lot of weird things since he accepted that invitation to Dubai two years ago. In fact, he’s seen this particular weird thing happen before. And he knows exactly who the weird guy is that tends to do it.

He unlocks his apartment door and turns on the living room light. "Jesus christ!" he snaps. "How did you—"
The figure sitting in his easy chair with crossed arms is silent.
Daniel turns to his date. "You need to leave. Now."
"Who's this?"
"Doesn't matter, you need to go. Sorry."
"Okay. Jesus."
Daniel shuts the door. "What do you want?"
"I'm still deciding," Armand says.
"Louis said—"
"I don't care what Louis said." Armand pushes himself out of the chair and approaches.
Daniel backs away, keeping the coffee table between them. "Are you gonna kill me?"
"I don't know what I'm going to do." A strange smile spreads across his face. God, he's scary. He's also…
"Are you drunk?" Daniel asks.
"I don't know what they were on."
