Loki has been depressed for a while and when they escaped on the statesmen after Ragnarok, Thor finds out just how deppressed. Bassically Thor sees the scars and they have a brotherly moment.
Thor's voice caught in his throat. "Loki."
Loki winced, pulling his hands back from his arms as if he'd been caught doing something guilty. His back straightened, and for a moment, Thor was afraid he would flee or lash out. But Loki simply stood there, his head hung low.
"How long?" Thor asked softly, stepping into the room, his voice heavy with all that wasn't said.
Loki didn't respond initially. He simply stared at the ground, his hands now hidden in his lap, as if covering them up would magically erase what Thor had witnessed.
"How long?" Thor repeated, this time more insistently, his heart pounding with a mix of anxiety and guilt. How had he not noticed this? How long had Loki been hiding his pain?
