Lucifer stared at the ground in front of him to steady his steps, but as his eyes focused, he saw red splotches staining the carpet and spattering across the floor. His yellow eyes followed the trail of blood to the main stairwell, where Alastor was passed out halfway up the steps, a red pool seeping into the carpet around him.
Man, that was a lot of blood. Lucifer wasn’t sure exactly how much blood humans had, but he knew it would make them pass out if they didn’t keep enough of it inside their fragile bodies–and that appeared to be Alastor’s state at the moment. Lucifer could even see the mangled hand steadily spurting blood with every feeble heartbeat.

His chest heaved— struggling to breathe.
One of the lights flickered, although it seemed like none of them noticed.
The air conditioning was too cold.
The music was too loud.
His breathing was uneven and shallowed, his mind repeated the same words over and over again, frantically telling him: 'Inhale, exhale. Inhale, exhale.'
He walked over to the nearby table, setting his drink down as he looked to his side. He saw someone standing by the table, he couldn't tell who it was. His vision hazed and blurred.
Silver approached the individual and excused himself quietly, but it's not like they even heard him speak, nor even notice him behind. They're all in their own little world, having fun as the music blasted.
He slipped out unnoticed, but the mindful one felt his presence missing.
