Herman had never particularly liked his powers, despite wanting to be a hero for the majority of his life. He had always felt like a walking inconvenience to others. Too wet in all the wrong ways to hold a lasting relationship, too self conscious and lacking the confidence to be the great man his Grandma always said he was. All Herman wanted, was to be useful. To live a normal life outside the wet mess he constantly was.
