Summary
Loki survives the destruction of the Statesman. He is not sure why.
Thor is pulled from the wreckage alive but broken, kept breathing by machines in the New Avengers Facility while something unseen continues to unravel him. Loki is left with the unbearable arithmetic of survival: he lived, and his brother is paying the cost.
Tony Stark refuses to let that be the end of the equation. With the Avengers fractured and everything he built already in ruins, Tony turns to the one thing he still trusts—his ability to fix what’s broken. He will fix Thor. He will protect Loki. His search for answers leads him to Stephen Strange, a reclusive physician hiding magic, secrets, and a war no one else can see.
Stephen sees something in Loki he never expected to find. What begins as an uneasy alliance deepens into a slow, volatile attraction neither of them names—but both of them feel. As they are drawn together by loss and desperation, Loki and Stephen build something fragile and forbidden around Thor’s failing body, unaware that Stephen’s hidden war will demand a betrayal that will cost them far more than Thor’s life.

I was watching the first Doctor Strange like 50 minutes ago and there is a guy in Stranges list of potential patients that had an injury that sounded similar to Rhodeys during civil war so I whipped this together in like 10 minutes so its not beta read or anything, just flying straight into the world.

His amazing prototype was destroyed right in the middle of its presentation. Months of his hard work were wasted in a mere moment. The stockholders are going crazy. All of that, because one mischevious god and one malicious demon decided to have a tiny squabble precisely in Tony's driveway.
Right now he only hopes that he can finally have a bit of peace and quiet to re-build his vehicle and that no sassy deity is going to bother him any time soon...

“I had scoliosis,” Peter whispered, not looking away from where they’d heard the metal snap. He had gone pale. Bucky was sure he was a few shades lighter, himself. “That’s… that’s what I was gonna say before."
“Yeah?” Bucky asked. He loosened his grip on Peter’s shoulder, but didn’t take his hand away.
“My back still hurts sometimes,” Peter explained quietly. “But that might be because of the swinging. Hard to find a strong enough chiropractor to crack it, you know? Maybe… maybe two thousand tons of concrete would do it, though.” Bucky leveled his gaze at the kid. Peter looked back at him, swallowing hard.
“Let’s call that Plan B, okay?” Bucky suggested.
“Yeah, okay,” Peter mumbled.

Or, Peter gets caught in the collapse of a parking garage with a (mildly) concussed Bucky Barnes, and has a nice get-to-know-you sesh with our favorite super soldier while waiting for Tony to find a safe way get them out. Super chill, right? Everything's fine. Oh- and he's been impaled by two rods of rebar and can't move without risking bleeding out. That... complicates things.

Mary cups the boy’s face in her hands. For ten years she was able to keep her son away from the life of criminals and psychopaths. After she fled, Tony put in a rule that all hospitals must keep children in custody until a DNA test is completed. There was no way Mary could sneak Peter out.
“He is going to come. I’m sure he will have a few Avengers with him. They will probably separate us.”
Peter grabs her hands, “I won’t let them do that.”
“Peter” Mary leans forward, placing her forehead on his. “Do not fight him. We are both going to do what he instructs. That is the only way to get through this. I…I’m sure he won’t allow us to see each other for a long time. Definitely not until he thinks we are compliant. If we just do what he wants, the sooner we will see each other again. Do you understand?”
The thirteen-year-old nods his head, again allowing tears to flow. “I love you mom.”“I love you too.”
The sound of the door opening causes the duo to freeze. Mary’s blood feels like ice when she hears an all too familiar voice taunt “Daddy’s home.”
