Summary
Danny tells Taylor that he’s dating a man. Taylor doesn’t have a problem with it, but she fails to understand the implications Kenta’s Asian identity in Brockton Bay. Still, he changes her life for the better, and Taylor hopes he’ll become her stepdad.
Then, she fights him during her first night out in costume, and their relationship completely changes. They both love Danny though, so they’re willing to figure out how to make it work for his sake.

Summary
Annette Rose, parahuman lieutenant in Lustrum’s gang, gets her body hijacked when she tries to kill Pretender and his boyfriend, Danny Hebert, in a college androcide. Pretender, not realizing he’s triggered and unable to leave Annette’s body, assumes Annette’s life, joining the Protectorate and continuing his relationship with Danny for the next twenty years.
Problem is, Pretender and Danny didn’t tell many people about Pretender’s true nature, including their daughter, Taylor. The death of Annette’s body unsettles their lives, throwing the three of them into new worlds where none of them understands each other anymore.

Summary
Since parahumans appeared in Earth Bet, soulmate bonds increasingly began manifesting as guide animals. Normally, a guide animal is a magical creature that travels between soulmates to guide, comfort, and support them until they meet their soulmate.
Eidolon has the exception, an asshole goose that won’t stop biting him, and, apparently, he has too many problems for the thing to ever leave him alone, even following him to Endbringer battles.
Danny Hebert always thought he never had a soulmate, neither he nor Annette having a guide animal of their own, even during the points in their lives when they would need one the most. Needless to say, Danny is pretty surprised when a goose shows up after Annette’s death.
They’re all even more surprised when the goose gets even more aggressive during Leviathan’s attack on Brockton Bay.
