Summary
In the 24th century, humanity has established a foothold beyond Earth. Mars, the next planet from the sun, is close to becoming a second Earth in its own right, not just in its advanced development and varied societies, but in the inevitability of conflict. The Togawa Group, the corporate conglomerate acting as the de-facto governing body of the Earth sphere, is gradually attempting to reach beyond its borders and seize Mars in much the same way. Martians, having enjoyed relative independence for several generations, are not keen on being ruled. There is no war yet, but tensions are high.
Takamatsu Tomori is a dockworker at a Martian spaceport. Togawa Sakiko is an admiral with the Togawa Group's Space Defense Force. When Tomori steals a prototype mech called the Polaris in an act of desperation, their idyllic shared past will color their turbulent futures as they once again intertwine.
