   Summary

   It’s the house-sized feeling seizing his chest, a feeling he could not exhale away: Haru will leave him. And when he does, it would have been because Akihiko fucked up. Somehow, some way, because that’s what he does. He takes something real and twists it into a dark galaxy and it grows like a garden of toxic roses.

   Their date tonight is a last-ditch effort on Akihiko’s part to save what he thinks is close to rotting. A rot he caused in something so sweet.

   He drags the thought to the back of his mind. He’ll save the misery for later. For now, he must get through the role he’s agreed to play.

   Akihiko knows that Haru is hiding something important to him, but hasn't gathered the courage to confront Haru about it. In the meantime, he suggests they spice up their relationship by pretending to be other people. In Akihiko's logic, these two things are completely unrelated.
