It had been a few days, we all decided to grab dinner Friday night as school was a bitch and a half, even if I considered reconnecting with my people more important, and yes I considered them mine even with my dual identity issues.
We decided to go to a more casual diner as none of us were of age anyways and we didn’t know their situation and didn’t want to make them uncomfortable.
We were in walking distance from Ravens apartment so we just walked and chatted as we made our way to our destination. “Hey Rae Rae, I gotta be honest with ya about something.” I’d honestly been trying to figure out a way to tell Raven that I think something horrible is coming but couldn’t think of a reasonable way so I just decided to wing it.
She just looked up at me curiosity shining through her eyes. “I have been having weird dreams about this world and it feels like something bad is coming….” Kinda vague but what can I do?
“What kind of dreams Alex?” She had a face slightly filled with dread and worry in her eyes.
“It’s kinda creepy and scary if I’m being honest… the dead were rising and attacking people, I can’t really explain it… it definitely feels real when I’m asleep, it’s vivid like I’m really there and can’t wake up. I think I’m afraid this is going to happen here..?” I tell her awkwardly. How else do you tell someone you think the world will end.. again? With no proof either.
“Damnit…. Well I don’t honestly know if that or how that could happen but maybe we should idk… just in case, make a few preparations of some kind? Can you give any details of how that world would be like or anything?
“Yah, sadly I can give you vast details of what it was like..” I tell her with a sigh of relief. She wasn’t looking at me like a crazy person. “But let’s wait until after dinner to talk about it.” She quickly agreed and we walked into the restaurant and our friends joined us a few minutes later.
“Belamey, Marie!” I say excitedly as they get closer, giving belamey a man hug and Octavia a bone crusher.
“Hey Alex, glad to see you, both of you!” He says first looking at me then Raven
“We were afraid we were alone!” Octavia added a second later after hugging Raven tightly.
“There are a bunch of us here we think, we just aren’t all in LA, Raven has been tracking us, or trying to, as all she has are drawing to go by.
