Such a rare treat, a lovely, long Sonny/Rico fic. Characterizations are great, the sex is hot. A must-read.

Summary
The strange home invasions by The Shadow continued to haunt Sonny Crockett, even though the case was closed. The nightmares that stalked him in sleep left traces in the light of day. Noticing his Senior Detective's fractured concentration, Castillo gives Crockett one last task before insisting on a long weekend: identify a homicide victim for the ME. At the morgue, Crockett is confronted with a memory and a question that requires answers from his boyhood home in North Florida.
It was Perry, Florida that made him Sonny Crockett... or Sonny Bates... or Sonny Burnett or whoever he was on that particular day. Because, some days he wasn't sure — although, in his dreams, when Crockett looked through the one way mirror at The Shadow ... he knew he saw the makings of himself.
