Summary
In the early 1900s, Japanese women would be sent to Hawai'i in arranged marriages to work on sugar cane plantations. Because they would be set up with their husbands by photo only, they were called "picture brides." Mariko is one of those brides, stuck in an unhappy arrangement. When she runs into an Englishman who also lives on the island, her fate will change---but is it change for the better?

Summary
In 1582, Akechi Jinsai assassinated the Dictator - Kuroda Nobuhisa - before he realized his ambitions and tarnished the Akechi family's legacy. This led to the Taiko briefly taking over the realm, before Yoshii Toranaga, through shrewdness and cunning, managed to defeat the opposition and take the position of Shogun, unifying the country in 1600.
Yet, what if Akechi had failed to do so? What if Kuroda succeeded in his ambitions? What if John Blackthorne landed in Japan that was unified under the 'Demon King'

Summary
A collection of drabbles inspired by Shogun and some prompts. Not linear.
Kiku sees with sharpest clarity the wounded soul of Mariko, the pain of her past, the way her eyes yearn to drink in the Anjin, still awkward in his kosode and obi. How the Anjin's own eyes are like a lost, wounded animal, always searching for something to anchor him in the strange world he has found himself in. How they found each other, then immediately were denied. Misery, desire and loss beats sluggishly between them like an ailing heart they share. Kiku sees it all and the pain of it that she wishes to assuage.

Summary
Tsurumaru’s sea is a bright, unburdened blue today. The sun lustres the water and caresses her cheeks pleasantly, warmly. It doesn’t sting. It’s not summer yet. When she closes her eyes, the gentle song of the sea fills her and her arms remember the small, warm weight of her son. In her memories he’s always warm, safe and lovingly held. He didn’t live long enough to learn that there’s winter, war and loss in the world. The sea rocks him now, like a mother murmuring a lullaby.
We live and we die. We control nothing beyond that. (But sometimes Fate makes different choices for us.)

Summary
A little look (from my point of view) at what Mariko thought throughout the 4 first episodes of "Shōgun". Most of these things are just my vision of our dear lady Toda's little gestures and looks.
