Summary
House thinks about it sometimes, what Wilson likes about their dynamic. They've talked about it a few times, and Wilson usually answers with “being in charge” or “controlling you, for once” if he's feeling snarky, but House thinks sometimes, like now, Wilson just likes it because he gets to be as emotional as he feels without the constraints of social acceptability. He gets to act on the feeling in a structured way– if he's happy he gives House treats and affection, if he's angry he can be callous and withholding. There's still a framework for behavior, but Wilson gets to call the shots and interpret the signals how he wants, and make House listen, understand, and then act accordingly. Full control. Maybe Wilson is right, in not so many words.
