Summary
It was the loss of their respective homes to tyranny that had brought them together. Sil'dih was not Ala Mhigo, nor was Ul'dah Garlemald. Those two tragedies were scarcely comparable, yet she believed to have found a kindred spirit in Ilberd Feare, and he in her, the Warrior of Light. She was no revolutionary with a noble cause, just a bitter woman who longed for revenge against the Sultanate, but they were the same in that they sought justice for the travesties committed against their people.
Ilberd 's touch, when Iaera had at long last permitted herself to recall it, was a brand, white hot, searing itself into her very being, threatening to consume her and Ilberd both. It was love and hate and betrayal, desperation as well as frustration with each other and their chosen courses. He still cared for her, loathe as he was to admit it, nor would he do so ever again.
Gaius', in comparison, was as water, a gentle flow that washed over hurts both old and new with a tenderness and reverence that she once believed the former Legatus to be incapable of.
As far as she was concerned, Ilberd had been right to hate her.

5.5-6.0 MSQ rewrite, focused on Gaia, a freed but depowered Elidibus, and remaining Sundered Ascians. I intend to follow the great strokes of Endwalker and rip it apart in order to give the Unsundered and the Ancient people as a whole the justice and catharsis I found to be… very sorely lacking in 6.0.

Note: this is a post-SoS angry Elidibus who is a 12k year old, broken Themis. There is no “Zodiark made him a different person” vibe. If you favour a fluffy Themis who most definitely would never become Elidibus the Ascian bitterly calling you malformed creatures unworthy of true mankind's legacy
(he is correct, and in this 30-part essay I will–, you might not care for this portrayal.Currently on-going, and I hope to finish this one day. Anything that happens in MSQ after 6.0 is completely irrelevant to this.

Summary
Diveh Tia doesn't remember anything between the time he left home and waking up in an Infirmary after the Battle of Carteneau. He answers the call for adventurers after living in Lost Hope for five years, hoping to make some coin. Until he meets the Scions. Then his world is turned upside-down and more than just money, glory, and fame come his way.
EDIT: After many years (since 2020), all the writing for Diveh in the future has been forestalled because he's changed a lot as a character and I kept trying to force him into the mold I'd written and posted already. Ultimately, this fanfic is for me, and so I have decided to re-write this story. I have kept the bulk of it so far, but have edited a lot to bring him in line with who he should have been in order to make him who he is now and thus will be posting updated chapters as they are re-written.
Hopefully this will get the juices flowing for the second story - it already has a lot written, but has been stalled for so long because I was trying to stuff him in a box he didn't fit in anymore. The new content will be a bit darker, and the romance that will happen focuses way more on Diveh and Thancred (because nothing ever goes as planned).

For about four years now I've been novelizing my WoL's lore and now that I have a first draft of the whole game up to Endwalker, I have decided to start posting it. Quick summary: Kihna is a cis/bi male Viera dancer/dark knight. I thought about adding relationship tags, however since this will be a long ongoing fic with multiple ships, I have decided not to. That said, much of this fic is heavily centered around Kihna's relationships with various NPCs. There isn't much, but I will add trigger warnings for chapters with noncon and sexual violence.
