Summary
In the kingdom of Hancastle, beauty is currency—and Oikawa is priceless. Shackled in silk, owned by a Viscount, and paraded like an ornament, he survives only by dreaming of a world he’ll never see: snow, pines, mountains, freedom.
But the night he’s dragged into an alley behind a tavern, everything changes.
Rourke Black—feared pirate captain of The Black Cage, a man carved from scars and storms—sees him. And Rourke is not a man who looks away. What begins as a single violent rescue spirals into open defiance, war on the horizon, and a hunted fugitive aboard the most notorious ship on the eastern seas.
Oikawa learns of the freedom he had dreamed of for his entire life. The man who gives it to him would never dare to take it away again.
Oikawa doesn’t know whether Rourke is his salvation or his ruin.
But for the first time in his life… he has a choice.
And the world is about to burn for it.
