Summary
We've already seen that there are many different universes, each with its own version of Invincible. But what if the Viltrumites developed their powers at a very young age? And what if, on top of that, Mark was a late bloomer, and Nolan wanted to give him a chance to develop, but fled Earth with the promise to return and conquer it, whether Mark was Viltrumite or not?
Or, the messed-up childhood of Mark Grayson and how, somehow, Cecil Stedman ended up becoming part of his family.

Summary
The guardians were murdered, and in the hope of finding their killer, Cecil Stedman is released from prison to vindicate himself for his crimes. In the process, he meets a house seller, Debbie Grayson, and her wonderful six-year-old son, Mark, both who appear to be victims of abuse by her ex-husband.
It may not seem like it, but everything is connected. Simply Cecil just has yet to realize that.
