Perpetua bristles. Fangs show and claws on full display, tail swaying in warning behind her.
“The child belongs to the ministry. You may have birthed him, but we own him.”

Now she turns her gaze on him and Copia winces as he's finally able to get a good look at her. Left eye bloodied not only from the claw marks, but from being nicked itself. It has to hurt. “Let me –”
Perpetua smacks his hand away forcefully.
“Perpetua –”
“Get out of my room.”
Copia blinks, caught off guard. “I need to clean that. Otherwise, it'll get infected.”
Whatever small shred of sanity still lies in Perpetua's mind finally snaps.
She's on her feet quicker than anyone who's currently seven months pregnant should be able to. Her hands clench at her sides, fingers turning to claws as her boned tail flicks behind her. Face darkening and eyes turning red as she screams out from a freshly fanged mouth. “I said get out!” A deeper baritone echoes underneath her own voice as the walls begin to shake.
