Summary
A 19th Century toy soldier of the American Civil War is gifted on Christmas Eve to a young lady –Regina– who is very intrigued with war history, especially the Civil War. She soon learns more about her new little soldier –Lieutenant Thomas Chamberlain as he comes to life along with many of her other soldiers and clashes into a deadly battle on her bedroom floor where she is also caught in the trance, enchanted by the evil Mouse King and shrunk down to the same size as her figurines and finds herself joining in the fight. As her adventures unravel, she learns of the Nutcracker Prince and the Sugar Plum Princess, and her little army of 19th century soldiers follow her in joining the cause of the Prince and Princess in defeating the Tyrant King and his mouse minions who threaten once again the Sugar Plum Kingdom.

Of course, any reason to be rid of his daughter whom he saw as a cursed child was good enough for him, saving him the trouble he had to endure of keeping her hidden and out of society. Reigna signs up with the 20th Maine, keeping her identity still a secret and even the fact she was a woman by pretending to be a young lad.
But troubles would soon find her, and some cases just as bad as when she was back at home…Her secrets would not be hidden for ever, and a young officer named Thomas Chamberlain who rose later to First Lieutenant, also had a secret that she would eventually find out in due time…- Language:
