Summary
In one perfect moment Azula had achieved everything she had ever wanted. She had taken Ba Sing Se, ended the Hundred Year War, killed the Avatar, and convinced Zuko to return home to take his place as their father's heir.
Now, she had finally proven herself to be more than her mistakes, more than the weakness that her father had always been able to see at the core of her. Now, her father would finally have to respect and reward her, now she could finally have Ty Lee.
And in an instant, it had all come crashing down. Zhao had come back from the dead and, acting on her father's orders, stripped her of her command. Ty Lee's mother had stolen her away to secure a marriage to a man she hardly knew, and worse yet, Ty Lee had gone willingly, no longer able to bear seeing the person Azula had become.
Both heartbroken and distraught Azula and Ty Lee must now return home to the Fire Nation to face their destinies...but destiny has a way of turning out in unexpected ways.

Summary
Later that night, Zuko took a bath to get rid of all the sand around the crevices of his body. He washed his hair thoroughly, and enjoyed the warmth of the water as he sunk deeper into the bath. He stared at his body for a while, thinking of all the scars around it, the training accidents, the battles he lost, and the intentional scars covering him. It only made him self-aware. Then he thought of his friend, staring at his body, probably judging them, analyzing and feeling disgusted by them. Was that really what Sokka thought of him? Probably not, but perhaps he felt pity for him.

He huffed, scowling. "What? Zuko, you're not making any sense." Sokka complained, getting frustrated. Talking to Zuko was impossible. He either dumped his whole life story or talked in riddles! This time, he chose the latter option.
Aang suddenly spoke up then as he connected the dots. "Wait, we missed your birthday?" He asked, his voice small. "Why didn't you say anything?"Or

Summary
After years imprisoned, Princess Azula vanishes into the Forgetful Valley. Fire Lord Zuko sends Suki and the Kyoshi Warriors to bring her back, dead or alive.
Two years of fruitless searching leave Suki haunted by failure, her determination curdling into obsession. An "alternate ending" to Azula's storyline in the show, in the form of a more definitive ending scene for both her & Ty Lee after Zuko's Coronation as Fire Lord. Meant to serve as a scene that could have happened in canon between Zuko's coronation and the final scene of the series, giving an explanation to why Ty Lee (and Azula) weren't present in the Jasmine Dragon with the Gaang.
Also meant as a "happier ending" that better acknowledges Azula as a person following her hitting rock bottom in the Agni Kai.
Takes place a few weeks/month or so chronologically after being defeated by Katara.
Partially inspired by Grey DeLisle's statement that in her perfect world, post-series Ty Lee & Azula escaped to a romantic desert island. -

Maybe people protest Ozai, but not enough, and maybe they oppose him, but not enough. This is the street of money in the city of money in this great country of money, and the people are going out to grab a bite with their non-dead children in tow.
