Her grip on Izuku’s arm tightened briefly in her fright. She made a motion as if trying to tug herself and her friend out of danger’s way, before finally seeming to realize that it was just a guard who had been waiting outside the door.
“Oh! Good evening Sir!” she yelped, then scratched at the back of her head with her free hand. “Sorry, I probably should’ve guessed there’d be guards out here! And who might you be?”
The guard made a sound of irritation.

Izuku told him to take it easy, that if he rested and went back to physical therapy, it may help. But Katsuki had refused, too angry and in denial to listen to reason. Izuku knew he was scared that he wouldn’t be able to be a pro hero anymore, even if he wouldn't admit it out loud. He tried to make sure Katsuki knew he was there for him, that he could confide in him. Izuku understood, he told Katsuki that he did, but Katsuki was too in his head about it. So he had watched as his boyfriend slowly fell into an endless pit of anger and resentment.
