It’s your first day in the last week tonight office, and most of the morning you’ve just been getting acquainted with the space, and settling into your “office”.
you met John earlier today. You figured he’d be the type to introduce himself to all the new interns. There’s only three of you, but you could swear John was making eye contact with you the most. Hard to tell. Could be wishful thinking.
He was wearing the sexiest purple dress shirt today, not like his usual suits that you’ve seen him in on the show, a little bit more dressed down in the most erotic way. Maybe you shouldn’t be having these thoughts. Maybe sexualizing my boss? Coworker? Is bad. Hard to say.
You step out of your office ready to head home for the day. You just want to check in with your supervisor, Abi, first. They haven’t assigned you anything yet so just not really any work to get done. Feels pointless just sitting around.
You step out of your office and you see John standing outside chatting with Abi. He’s a senior writer so it makes sense. Should you go up to him? Should you duck back in the office and wait for him to leave before you go up? They’re probably already seen you come out better to just get it over with now.
You walk up to the prayer and wait expectantly John’s eyes turned to you first.
“Oh hey! How has your first day been? Abi hasn’t been too much of a pain to work under yet has he?” John joke looking over for Abi‘s reaction. I’ll be smiled easily. You’ve only known him for the last six hours, but he seemed to always have a smile in his back pocket.
“Hasn’t been too horrible yet. But I don’t know now I’m nervous to send my jokes out for his approval.” you responded in a mock nervous tone.
“Well don’t be” John replied earnestly,
“I saw what you sent in when you applied, it was great. We’re lucky to have you.” You smiled nervously, it could be wishful thinking but he seemed to be looking at you with just a little more intensity than was normal for a conversation like this.
